The Ear Force X31 is our third generation of wireless headsets for the XBOX 360. Like the X3, the X31 combines XBOX live chat with wireless game sound so you can hear the game sound and the voices of other players in the headset. In other words, it replaces your XBOX communicator headset and external speakers. By hearing the XBOX Live chat in the center of your head rather than in one ear, you can communicate better online. You still have to plug a wire into the controller to use chat. A deal breaker for me.

I received my product on time, BUT it was broken before even taking it out of the box! Tried NUMEROUS troubleshoots and spent countless hours attempting to get the headphones to work and failed! I won’t even begin to name off the list problems! The WORST part, BY FAR, would have to be that Amazon.com only provided me with a 2-4 week shipping label. Interpretation: They wouldn’t receive the product in time to refund my money! To top it all off, I HAVE TO PAY FOR PRIORITY SHIPPING BECAUSE THEY WON’T for my broken product. To make things even worse, is the Amazon.com rep that spoke with 1) Couldn’t understand me, what I was saying, and what I was asking for, & 2)was reluctant and unwilling to provide me with a return address to send the broken product BACK to them so I could receive my refund. I would expect this from one of their merchants, but Amazon.com themselves… They’ve LOST a customer who’s spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on them because of their unprofessionalism!!!!Ear Force X31 Digital RF Wireless Game Audio + Xbox Live Chat

This is my third set of Turtle Beach headsets, the first two broke from normal use. One was a wireless X3, the other was a wired X1. This pair now has started popping so much that they’re unusable, after less than two weeks of gentle use! Turtle Beach headsets are made of total garbage, there is absolutely NO quality with this brand! If you have a set that still works good after a couple of weeks, it’s the exception, definately NOT the rule! So, now I spent another 100 dollars on a padded paper weight.
Turtle Beach, your product is crap, and I will tell that to the hundreds of players that I meet on a daily basis on XBL, your potential customers… not if I have anything to do with it! This doesn’t deserve even 1 star, this is a 0 start product, and a total waste of money. There are other brands out there, that offer higher quality, and surround sound at a lower price, do yourself a favor and go with them, perhaps you won’t make the same mistake I’ve made, and have a “wireless” popping paper weight!

Works great when it works has a bad connection between left and right ear piece. Probably just a flaw in mine just thought I would throw it out there, Also it uses a lot of batteries would suggest buying rechargeable ones.
